The center is open 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The State of Tennessee requires that your child stay no more than 10 hours each day.  Please try to have your child at the center by 9:00 a.m. so that he/she will receive maximum benefits from the program offered.  If your child will be absent, please let us know.

Each classroom determines its own activity schedule, but everyone observes the following:

8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.           Breakfast *Must be present by 8:10 a.m. to be served

11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.      Lunch - varies on age group

12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.            Naptime

2:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.          Snack - varies on age group

The State of Tennessee requires that children be provided an opportunity for outdoor play when the temp range (adjusted for wind chill/heat index) is between 32F and 95F and not raining.  We do not have adequate staff keep a child inside when the others in his group are going out.  If your child is too ill to be outside, he is probably too ill to be at school.

The center is closed on the following holidays:

New Year’s Day                                        Labor Day

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day                     Thanksgiving Day

Good Friday                                            Day after Thanksgiving

Memorial Day                                         Christmas Eve

Fourth of July                                          Christmas Day

These closings may vary if the holiday falls on a weekend.

In addition to the Holiday’s listed above, our center closes for two days each calendar year for teacher in-service training and intensive cleaning that cannot be safely done with children present.  These closings will take place in the spring and fall (one day in each season), and will be announced at least 6 weeks in advance via parent newsletter and signage throughout the building so that parents have ample opportunity to plan for care.

Our center may close during inclement weather if needed.  Our goal is to notify parents as quickly as possible, using social media, local news stations and email.  In the event that the center must close mid-day, parents will be directly contacted by their child’s teacher or administrative staff.
